RoadTempest Privacy Policy

RAM Teknetics, LLC ("RAM Teknetics," "we," "us," or "our") operates the RoadTempest application ("RoadTempest" or the "Software").

This Privacy Policy describes the information RoadTempest may collect, how that information is handled, and the purposes for which collected environmental observations may be used.

1. Information We Collect

RoadTempest may collect environmental observations and related information, including:

• Road temperature

• Air temperature

• Humidity

• Dew point

• Atmospheric pressure

• GPS location

• Elevation

• Date and time

• Device identifiers

• Sensor identifiers

• Vehicle identifiers supplied by the user

The information collected by RoadTempest is intended to support environmental, weather, atmospheric, and road-condition monitoring.

2. Driver and Driving Information

RoadTempest does not monitor, record, report, transmit, analyze, or store:

• Driver behavior

• Vehicle speed

• Driver identity

• Driving performance

• Driver actions

• Driver compliance

• Vehicle operating practices

RoadTempest is not designed to monitor or evaluate how a person drives or operates a vehicle.

3. Automatic Uploads and Offline Records

Sensor and location records are uploaded automatically.

If the device is offline, records may be buffered and synchronized when the device reconnects to the internet or otherwise regains network connectivity.

Environmental conditions can change rapidly, and sensor, communication, GPS, or software errors may occur.

4. How We Use Collected Information

In consideration for free use of the Software, you grant RAM Teknetics, LLC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use collected environmental observations in anonymized and aggregated form for:

• Product improvement

• Research

• Meteorological analysis

• Road condition analysis

• Safety studies

• Future software development

Collected environmental observations may therefore be analyzed and used in anonymized and aggregated form for these purposes.

5. GPS and Location Information

RoadTempest may collect GPS location information associated with environmental observations.

Location information is used as part of the Software's environmental and road-condition monitoring functionality. Sensor and location records may be uploaded automatically as described above.

When network connectivity is unavailable, records may be buffered and subsequently synchronized when connectivity is restored.

6. Device, Sensor, and Vehicle Identifiers

RoadTempest may collect device identifiers and sensor identifiers associated with the Software and its connected sensors.

RoadTempest may also collect vehicle identifiers supplied by the user.

These identifiers may be associated with environmental observations collected by the Software.

7. Environmental and Sensor Accuracy

Environmental conditions can change rapidly. Sensor readings, GPS information, communications, and software may contain errors or inaccuracies.

RoadTempest provides environmental, weather, atmospheric, and road-condition information for informational and advisory purposes only.

Users should independently assess actual road and environmental conditions and should not rely solely on information provided by RoadTempest when making driving decisions.

8. Data Retention

RoadTempest may temporarily buffer offline sensor and location records on the device so that those records can be synchronized when connectivity is restored.

The RoadTempest Software does not specify a fixed public retention period for uploaded environmental observations. Accordingly, this Privacy Policy does not state a specific retention period that is not established by the Software's existing terms.

9. Data Sharing and Disclosure

The RoadTempest data-use provision permits RAM Teknetics, LLC to use collected environmental observations in anonymized and aggregated form for product improvement, research, meteorological analysis, road condition analysis, safety studies, and future software development.

RoadTempest does not use the collected information to monitor, record, report, transmit, analyze, or store the driver-related information identified in Section 2.

10. Your Use of RoadTempest

By installing, accessing, or using RoadTempest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the applicable RoadTempest End User License Agreement and Terms of Use.

Those terms contain additional provisions concerning your use of the Software, including licensing, driver responsibility, disclaimers, limitations of liability, prohibited activities, termination, and other matters.

This Privacy Policy addresses privacy and data-collection practices and does not replace the RoadTempest End User License Agreement or Terms of Use.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

RAM Teknetics, LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to RoadTempest, its data practices, or applicable requirements.

When this Privacy Policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of the policy may be revised.
